Frecciarossa in brief
The high-speed train service in Italy is called the Frecciarossa (Red Arrow). Your journey between Italy’s main cities, and from Northern Torino up to Salerno on the Amalfi Coast is quick -it travels at 300km/h (185mph)- comfortable and safe.

Railpass holders must pay a supplement of 15–20 euros per trip, so check before you buy an Italy railpass whether it would be better value to just pay the normal fares.
